about sleeping with ghosts
brought to you by the letters A, L and the number nineteen

"Thank you for your kindness. All debts have now been paid."
 - Linea, Prisoners

"Sleeping With Ghosts" is a Placebo album title, yes. The title track of the album doesn't use the words anywhere in the lyrics, but is an excellent song nevertheless. It became the name of this site because I appear to have something of an obsession with the concept. At least half a dozen of my stories include some version of the idea.

Although all the fics here were written by me, my stalwart band of beta-readers have probably saved the world on numerous occasions from the curse of bad fic. They deserve cookies and love.

The banner image has caps from Thalassa (sadly defunct), shillpages and [freeze frame], and was made by me with Photoshop 7.0.

The quotes at the top of each page are all attributed with the speaker and the episode title if they're from a television show fandom, and speaker and chapter title if they're from a book fandom. They have no relevance to anything except the fact they amuse me.

No werewolves, Watchers, archaeologists or army doctors were harmed permanently in the writing of these stories.

And, for good measure, the disclaimer in full:

Disclaimer/legalese: I'm doing this for my own amusement; no money is being made. I am a permanently penniless student and suing me would be like trying to squeeze liquid mercury out of a recalcitrant piece of brick. Stargate SG-1 and its characters belong to themselves, Metro-Goldwyn Mayer and Gekko Productions. Discworld belongs to Terry Pratchett; Crowley and Aziraphale belong to each other Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.
